Nadine Merson Bsc. (Hons) RN MISRM

My name is Nadine and I provide Pregnancy Massage, Oncology Massage and Sports Massage in Banbury as well as serving the surrounding areas of North Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire.

I am a Registered Nurse and a qualified BTEC Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist (otherwise known as a sports massage therapist). I also hold certificates in Pregnancy Massage and Oncology Massage.

Leg Massage

I originally started my career as a hospital staff nurse, however demands on nurses have changed in recent years and the role is now much more computer-based than it was several years ago and I found myself looking for ways of still helping people without technology creating a barrier to actual "hands-on" care. I have always had an interest in massage and part of my nursing training allowed me to complete a certificate in therapeutic massage. It was this which some years later inspired me to leave my role as a Band 7 ward manager and explore the Soft Tissue Therapy route and gain my BTEC Level 5 in 2018.

I completed my certificate in Pregnancy Massage in 2020 as having had 2 children by then, I understood the frustrations of other pregnant women who struggled to find massage therapists offering pregnancy massage as a seperate specialist service.

In November 2021 I completed my Oncology Massage Certificate which allows me to work with people who have been diagnosed with cancer and are either currently being treated for, or have recovered from cancer.

I am very flexible and can work either from home in my purpose built studio or can be mobile, coming to your home or work place depending upon your needs. I also offer corporate massage for employers seeking to reduce employee sickness from RSI and other work-related ailments. I am fully insured with Balens and I am a member of the Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists, (ISRM)Back Massage

I work with a wide range of clients from the sporty, needing a general 'MOT', to those who work primarily at a desk and as a result have postural issues causing aches and pains. I see clients with acute problems and those with chronic issues. Many people often assume that you have to be really "sporty" in order to warrant having a sports massage (or even to give them!) I can assure you, you don’t - and with regards to the latter... the most exercise that I currently get these days, is running around after two small people!!
